University Establishment
Al-Qadisiyah University was established in 1987 as one of Iraq’s public universities. The university started with a limited number of colleges and scientific departments, then gradually expanded to include 18 colleges covering various scientific and humanities disciplines.
Development Phases
Phase One (1987-1995)
- Establishment of core colleges (Education, Arts, Science)
- Building the initial university infrastructure
- Recruiting distinguished teaching staff
Phase Two (1995-2005)
- Opening Medicine, Engineering, and Law colleges
- Developing laboratories and libraries
- Expanding graduate programs
Phase Three (2005-2015)
- Establishing new colleges (Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing)
- Updating curricula according to international standards
- Enhancing international cooperation with global universities
Current Phase (2015-Present)
- Developing digital infrastructure
- Adopting blended e-learning
- Pursuing international academic accreditations
